Check-up
The statutory health insurance companies offer the following preventive examinations:
- “GU35”
Includes medical history (especially previous illnesses, family history), check of vaccination status, physical examination, blood pressure measurement, blood sampling with cholesterol and blood sugar determination, hepatitis B and C screening, urine status. - GU35 once between the ages of 18 and 35
- GU35 (health check) from the age of 35, every 3 years
- Skin cancer screening from age 35, every 2 years
- Colon cancer counselling from age 50 or 55
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening from age 65
