Autogenic training is a relaxation technique based on autosuggestion. Autogenic training can be used to influence psychological tension and restlessness as well as physical complaints such as high blood pressure, migraines or allergic complaints. Autogenic training was developed by the Berlin doctor Dr. Johannes Heinrich Schultz and has since been a scientifically recognized therapy option for stress-related illnesses. It has been proven to have a positive effect on general well-being. Autogenic training is therefore used for illnesses such as sleep disorders, high blood pressure, inner restlessness, chronic pain, anxiety and panic disorders, concentration problems and much more. Regular use of the relaxation technique can improve the quality of life, with absolutely no side effects.
The patient learns the method of autogenic training in 6-12 sessions (individual or group sessions) and can then use it independently as needed.
